Build Your Own Web Based GPS Tracking System


I ran across an article describing how to build a web based GPS tracking system. It’s a project that many fellow geeks will probably enjoy.

Briefly, you build a simple mobile GPS tracking system from a laptop and have the data delivered right to your own computer. With the addition of a Web server—and a Google Maps client-side JavaScript—you’ll be able to see the data via the Web on an interactive map.
